Create legislation that allows the City of Laredo to establish the creation of a Municipal Court of Record as per Government Code Chapter 30, Municipal Courts of Record, Section 30.0003 Creation of Municipal Courts of Record, and allow the City of Laredo to establish specific provision controls for the establishment of its court of record as per Government Code Section 30.00001 (c).

The governing body, through the creation of an ordinance will determine that the creation of the Municipal Court of Record in the City of Laredo is necessary to provide a more efficient disposition of the cases arising in the municipality and will, through the creation of said ordinance, establish specific provision controls for the creation of the Municipal Court of Record in the City of Laredo.
