Immunization Program

      

The Immunization program provides the following vaccines to infants, children, adolescents and adults that qualify for the Texas Vaccines for Children Program:

  • Infants and children 0-18 years of age: hepatitis B, rotavirus, diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis, haemophilus influenza type B, pneumococcal, inactivated polio, influenza, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A, meningococcal, human papilloma virus.
  • Adults: tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (no prior history), hepatitis b, hepatitis A, meningococcal (55 and over), pneumococcal, influenza, shingles zoster (60 and over), human papilloma virus (females 19-26).

Immunization services are available to those persons who are uninsured or underinsured (with no medical insurance or with insurance that does not cover immunizations). The administrative fee is $4.00/person with a maximum fee of $12.00/family. The fee for immunization copies is $2.00 and for the translation of foreign records is $15.00.

From January through December of 2007, a total of 13,703 persons were immunized and a total of 39,681 vaccines were administered.
