How to Pay Bus Fares
Try to use exact change. The new Odyssey fare box accepts the following currency - Coins: 1¢, 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, 50¢, SBA and Golden $1 coins. Bills: $1, $5, $10, $20 and Electronic Fare cards.
The new Odyssey farebox will give electronic value cards. Value cards can be sold in the bus for up to $20 in stored fares. Request a bus transfer when boarding.
The GFI Vendstar Ticket Vending Machine
The GFI Vendstar Ticket Vending Machine (TVM.) is a self-service, stand-alone device that vends magneticallly encoded fare media cards. The TVM is ADA-compliant and provides audio assistance for the hearing impaired as well as a selection of languages (English, Spanish or French). The TVM offers the following bus tickets: $1 for one ride, $5 for five rides, $10 for ten rides and Value Cards for $5, $10, and $20. The TVM is available at the Transit Center Lobby at 1301 Farragut Street. If you should need any assistance, please see a customer service agent.
