Trash Tip of
the Week:
With spring
just around the corner, apply the four Rs (Reduce,
Reuse, Recycle, Rebuy) to: Paying Bills, writing letters
ÿ Select recycled-content writing paper and envelopes;
buy refillable pens.
ÿ Photocopy on both sides of the paper.
ÿ Remove your address from direct mail marketers’
lists for five years by resgistering with the Mail
Preference Service of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA). Use the
form on the DMA’s Web site (http://www.the-dma.org/consass5/mps-sht.html)
or send a note with your name (giving all variations of your name by which
you receive mail), home address and signature to Mail Preference Service,
Direct Marketing Associaton, P.O. Box 9008,
Farmingdale, New York 11735-9008.
ÿ Call one of the following toll-free numbers to be
removed from national mailing lists for unsolicited credit and insurance
offers for two years: Equifax at ( www.equifax.com ), Experian
(formerly TRW) ( www.experian.com ) and
Trans Union (www.truecredit.com) at
(888) 567-8688. Not all companies use these services. Contact
companies directly if they continue to send unwanted mail. Ask to
be removed from their mailing lists.

companíias directamente si siguen enviándole propaganda que no ha pedido.
