Trash Tip of the Week:
Take the time to properly plan your trip to the City of Laredo Landfill.  You need to take a water bill and driver’s license, with matching addresses.  

Make sure your load is properly covered with a tarp so that your trash doesn’t fly out.  If you do not properly secure your load, you will be assessed an extra $10 surcharge at the gate, in addition to the $30 a ton fee.  Or course, you may also receive a traffic ticket.

There is no charge to enter the Landfill on Saturdays.  The Landfill is open on the first Sunday of the month, only.  

If it has been raining, call ahead at 795-2515 and make sure the Landfill has not been closed due to wet weather. Sometimes, the Landfill is closed the day after a heavy rain due to wet conditions on the ground.
