Amending the City of
Laredo’s FY 2001-02 General Fund annual budget by appropriating revenues and
expenditures in the amount of $100,000.00.
$50,268 for August 2002 and $49,732.00 estimated for September
2002. Expenditures will only be
incurred and disbursed if the revenue is collected by the Tax Department. |

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Council approved an amount
of $307,000 as revenue and expenditures through the adoption of the 2001-2002
Annual Budget. Council held and approved
a public hearing on September 16, 2002 to adopt this ordinance. |

BACKGROUND: The Tax Department has
collected a total of $349,112.05 as of August 2002.

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that City
Council approve this Ordinance. |

Amending the City of Laredo’s FY 2001-02 General Fund annual budget by appropriating revenues and expenditures in the amount of $100,000.00. $50,268 for August 2002 and $49,732.00 estimated for September 2002. Expenditures will only be incurred and disbursed if the revenue is collected by the Tax Department.
WHEREAS, on September 17, 2001 the City Council approved Ordinance 2001-O-209
adopting the 2001-2002 Annual Budget; and
WHEREAS, contract with Ricardo de Anda, Attorney at Law, was renewed and approved
by City Council on April 15, 2002 for the period of July 1, 2002 to September
30, 2005; and
WHEREAS, City Council held and approved a public hearing on September 16, 2002
to adopt this ordinance.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAREDO THAT:
Section 1. Budget Amendment
The City of Laredo FY
2001-2002 annual budget is amended to appropriate revenues and expenditures in
the amount of $100,000.
