COUNCIL COMMUNICATION Authorizing
the City Manager to execute the necessary document to grant an easement and
right of way of a parcel of land containing 910 square feet and another
parcel of land containing 1268 square feet, more or less, to AEP Central
Power and Light Company, for the installation of certain electrical service
facilities to serve the Jefferson Street Water Plant in Laredo, Texas. Said easement 910 sq.ft. and 1268 sq.ft. tract
of land being situated within the City of Laredo’s “Jefferson Street” Water
Treatment Plant in Webb County, Texas; being generally described below, and
more particularly described by metes and bounds on attached Exhibit “A,” and
providing for an effective date. |

BACKGROUND: Central Power and Light Company has requested that the City of Laredo grant it parcel of land containing 910 square feet and another parcel of land containing 1268 square feet Easement And Right-of-Way, for the installation of certain electrical facilities to serve the Jefferson Street Water Treatment Plant. The installation of said electrical service facilities, will enable the City of Laredo to enhance the quantity of water treated services provided to the community. A parcel of
land containing 910 square feet, more or less, situated within the City of
Laredo’s “Jefferson Street” Water Treatment Plant partially described in
Warrenty Deed dated July 14, 1950 and recorded in Volume 215, Pages 107-109,
Deed Records of Webb County, Texas, said 910 Square Feet tract lying within
the original street right-of-way of Constantinople St., Western Division,
City of Laredo, Webb County, Texas., and A parcel of
land containing 1268 square feet, more or less, situated within the City of
Laredo’s “Jefferson Street” Water Treatment Plant partially described in
Warrenty Deed dated July 14, 1950 and recorded in Volume 215, Pages 107-109,
Deed Records of Webb County, Texas, said 1268 Square Feet tract lying within
the original street right-of-way of Lee Ave., Western Division, City of
Laredo, Webb County, Texas. |

ORDINANCE NO. 2002-R-311
Authorizing the City Manager to execute the necessary document to
grant an easement and right of way of a parcel of land containing 910 square
feet and another parcel of land containing 1268 square feet, more or less, to
AEP Central Power and Light Company, for the installation of certain electrical
service facilities to serve the Jefferson Street Water Plant in Laredo, Texas. Said easement 910 sq.ft. and 1268 sq.ft.
tract of land being situated within the City of Laredo’s “Jefferson Street”
Water Treatment Plant in Webb County, Texas; being generally described below,
and more particularly described by metes and bounds on attached Exhibit “A,”

Whereas, AEP Central Power and Light has requested that the
City of Laredo grant it an
easement and right of way of a parcel of land containing 910 square feet and
another parcel of land containing 1268 square feet for the installation of certain underground
electrical facilities to serve the City of Laredo Jefferson Street Water
Treatment Plant; and,
Whereas, the
installation of said electrical service facilities, will enable the City of
Laredo to enhance the quantity of water treatment services provided to the
community; and,
Whereas, it is in the best interest
of the City of Laredo to grant it an easement and right of way of a parcel
of land containing 910 square feet and another parcel of land containing 1268
square feet, as
an Easement and Right-of-Way to AEP Central Power and Light Company, in order
to enhance services to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE
IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAREDO THAT:
Section 1: The
City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
the necessary document to grant an easement and right of way of a parcel of
land containing 910 square feet and another parcel of land containing 1268
square feet, more or less, to AEP Central Power and Light Company, for the
installation of certain electrical service facilities to serve the Jefferson
Street Water Plant in Laredo, Texas.
Said easement 910 sq.ft. and 1268 sq.ft. tract of land being situated
within the City of Laredo’s “Jefferson Street” Water Treatment Plant in Webb
County, Texas; being generally described below, and more particularly described
by metes and bounds on attached Exhibit “A,” and providing for an effective
date.
