1. Public hearing and introductory ordinance amending the City of Laredo FY 2001-2002 budget in the amount of $16,544.00 by increasing the Texas Department of Health’s share of program income and expenditures for the Immunization Action Plan Project budget of the City of Laredo Health Department for the period of September 1, 2001, through August 31, 2002.

2. Public hearing and introductory ordinance amending the City of Laredo 2001-2002 budget in the amount of $1,000.00 by increasing the Texas Department of Health’s share of program income and expenditures for the Tuberculosis Elimination Program budget of the City of Laredo Health Department for the period of September 1, 2001, through August 31, 2002.

3. 2002-O-171 Appointing one or more persons as Associate Municipal Judge (s) for the Municipal Court of the City of Laredo for a limit of two (2) years; amending the City of Laredo approved positions to provide for the positions of the persons appointed; and providing for an effective date. (As amended)

V. STAFF REPORT

4. Submission of the Fiscal Year 2002-2003 Proposed Annual Budget as per City Charter Article VI, Section 6.02, Submission of Budget, which states that “Sixty (60) days before the end of the fiscal year, or any time before that, the City Manager shall present to the Council, in an open public meeting, after proper public notice, and having been placed on the Council meeting agenda, a budget for the ensuing fiscal year with an accompanying message,” and discussion related to the current and proposed budget.

VI. EXECUTIVE SESSION

The City Council hereby reserves the right to go into executive session at any time during this public meeting, if such is requested by the City Attorney or other legal counsel for the City, pursuant to his or her duty under Section 551.071(2) of the Government Code, to consult privately with his or her client on an item on the agenda, or on a matter arising out of such item.
