1.       

2004-O-293               Authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents to effectively convey fee simple title to the “surface only”, at its market value of $37,000.00, for certain property described as a 15,433 sq. ft tract of land, more or less, out of that former section of the 1100 Block of India Avenue between Guadalupe and Chihuahua Streets to the Laredo Independent School District; said property being situated in the Eastern Division, City of Laredo, Webb County, Texas, being described on attached Exhibit “A”; and providing for an effective date. 

 

V.                 RESOLUTION

 

2.      2004-R-127         Recognizing, on the 63rd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, the continued contributions and sacrifices made by the United States Military Armed Forces and in particular the military servicemen and women from Laredo who honorably serve in the defense of our country; and further recognizing and honoring the many family and friends who bear the emotional and financial burden as their loved ones in the military are deployed in this country and around the world.

 

3.      2004-R-129         Authorizing the City Manager to accept a grant and execute a contract in the amount of $63,244.00 from the United States Conference of Mayors Research and Education Foundation for the HIV/AIDS Prevention Project of the City of Laredo Health Department for the contract period beginning January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005.

 

VI.               EXECUTIVE SESSION

 

The City Council hereby reserves the right to go into executive session at any time during this public meeting, if such is requested by the City Attorney or other legal counsel for the City, pursuant to his or her duty under Section 551.071(2) of the Government Code, to consult privately with his or her client on an item on the agenda, or on a matter arising out of such item.
