      With a quorum present Mayor Elizabeth G. Flores called the
      meeting to order.

 II.  PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

      Mayor Elizabeth G. Flores led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

III.  ROLL CALL

 IV.  RESOLUTIONS

      1.  98-R-086  Canvassing the returns of the Special Run-Off
                    Election held on May 30, 1998, and approving
                    the results.

          City Secretary Gustavo Guevara, Jr. read the election
          results as follows:

          Jesus "Chuy" Hinojosa, III      410             45.55%
          Alfredo Agredano                490             54.44%

          COUNCIL DISTRICT III

          Gerardo "Jerry" Vasquez          356            25.46%
          John C. Galo                   1,042            74.53%

          Motion to accept canvassing returns of the Special Run-
          Off Election.
