Handgun Signs for Businesses
A sign posted on the property prohibiting concealed or open-carry weapons needs to:
1) be in both English and Spanish;
2) appear in contrasting colors with block letters at least one inch in height; and
3) displayed in a conspicuous manner clearly visible to the public at each entrance to the property.
Open Carry Handgun
The sign must appear in contrasting colors with block letters at least one inch in height and must include on its face the number “51” printed in solid red at least five inches in height. The sign shall be displayed in a conspicuous manner clearly visible to the public.
If an establishment is licensed to sell alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption whose alcohol sales constitutes more than half of gross receipts, then to prohibit concealed and/or open carry weapons, the establishment has to post signs that have 51% in large red letters superimposed over the warning and the warning notes that possession of a concealed weapon on the premises is a felony.
