City of Laredo Invites Families to the 5th Annual “Family Night Under the Stars”

Laredo, Texas – The City of Laredo and District 5 Council Member Ruben Gutierrez Jr. invite the community to a night of outdoor fun and family connection at the 5th Annual Family Night Under the Stars. This much-anticipated event will take place at Jovita Idar’s El Progreso Park, located at 6002 Thomas Avenue (at the corner of Bartlett Avenue and Gale Street), beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, and continuing through 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22.

Families are encouraged to bring their tents or RVs and enjoy an unforgettable evening of camping under the Laredo sky. Attendees can look forward to a wide variety of activities, including fishing, paddleboats, archery, lawn games, arts and crafts, and, of course, delicious s’mores around the campfire. The event will also feature live music by The Jolly Ranchers from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., adding a lively soundtrack to an evening filled with community spirit.

*To participate and bring an RV on site, attendants must fill out a form that can be downloaded by clicking the following link: Family Night Under The Stars WAIVER for RVs (Limited spaces available) ** Check-In is from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. --- RV’s cannot leave until Saturday morning *** The site is for dry-camping, which does not have electricity hookups. Participants may bring their own gas generators.

Council Member Gutierrez invites everyone to enjoy this unique outdoor experience that continues to grow in popularity each year, offering residents a safe and family-friendly opportunity to connect with nature and one another.
