El Metro Announces Reroutes for Upcoming Parades

LAREDO, TX — To accommodate the festivities for the upcoming Youth Parade and Grand Parade, El Metro Transit has announced temporary rerouting for several bus routes. These changes are necessary to ensure the safety of parade participants and spectators while maintaining service for our riders.

Reroute Schedule

Service adjustments will be in effect during the following times:

  • Thursday, February 19: Starting at 3:00 PM until streets reopen.
  • Saturday, February 21: Starting at 6:00 AM until streets reopen.

Affected Routes & Reroute Chart

Passengers are encouraged to review the following chart to plan their commutes accordingly. Normal operations will resume as soon as local authorities deem the streets safe for transit vehicles.

Terminal will be at Santa Maria @ Washington (will not go to Transit Center)

Route 2A & 2B Outbound

San Bernardo

Will use San Dario left on Lafayette right on San Bernardo back to its regular route.

Route 2A & 2B Inbound

San Bernardo

Will take left on Lafayette right on San Francisco right on Park left on San Eduardo righton Houston

Route 3 Outbound

Convent

Will take Matamoros left on San Dario right on Gonzalez to its regular route

Route 3 Inbound

Convent

Will take right on Park left on San Eduardo right to Houston to Transit Center

Route 7

Ladrillera / El Cuatro

Will not services Washington St. C3 Riverside Circulator – Terminal will be at Santa Maria at Washington

Note : will not be going to Transit Center

 

Note: Please allow for extra travel time during these events, as heavy traffic and pedestrian crowds may cause additional delays beyond the scheduled reroutes.
