Margaret E. Rubio is a native Laredoan and graduate of J.B. Alexander High School. Margaret received her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law and her Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Finance from The University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduating from law school, Margaret began her legal career for the Webb-Zapata District Attorney’s Office. Margaret prosecuted a wide range of cases from misdemeanor offenses to general felonies. In 2024, Margaret accepted a position with the City of Laredo, where she currently serves as an Assistant City Attorney.
