Composition:  As a recognized 501 C 3 – Public Charity through the IRS, Keep Laredo Beautiful follows its bylaws which state that they should have between 3-15 (9-15 is ideal but legally it can be as low as three) sitting board members at any given time, appointed by the City Manager and confirmed by City Council.

Created:  By Ordinance 2004-O-235 dated October 11, 2004;  Keep Laredo Beautiful has been an affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful since 2002 and while it has been active, did not always have a fully functional board.  The organization has enjoyed citizen and community support over the years, and just recently refreshed this league of volunteers with the appointments approved by the Laredo City Council on April 6, 2020; M2020-R-05 minutes.

Mission Statement:  The mission of Keep Laredo Beautiful is to empower the citizens of Laredo through education to take responsibility for enhancing their community and its environment through litter prevention, beautification, community improvement and minimization of the impact of solid waste.
