About the Laredo Public Health Communications Office
The Public Information Office serves as the central communications hub for Laredo Public Health, supporting Public Health programs, Animal Care Services, Laredo Public Libraries, and Employee Health and Wellness. The office is responsible for sharing timely, accurate, and easy to understand information with the community through media relations, social media, campaigns, and public outreach. By working across divisions, the Public Information Office ensures consistent messaging, promotes public awareness, and helps connect residents to important health services, resources, and community initiatives.
Our goal is to build trust, promote awareness, and make it easier for everyone to make informed choices about their health. We are proud to serve the Laredo community and remain dedicated to protecting and improving the well-being of all residents.

The Public Information Office plays a key role in supporting the Laredo Public Health Department’s annual report by collecting, organizing, and communicating highlights from across the department.
